Andrea Martinez about the film:
Distance is a naturalistic and erotic coming of age film that follows the story of Ana, a young woman trying to find herself. Ana lives in Monterrey and she is trying to not become the stereotype of the mexican woman, a stay at home wife. She wants to become independent, but her greatest challenge towards achieving this is her own love for her boyfriend who is leaving town. The camera movements show us the emotional distance between Ana and her loved ones as she embarks on a sexual odyssey trying to become free.
